Tribeca Art+Culture Night is a downtown arts festival / open house that celebrates culture at large in Tribeca and takes place in over 30 galleries, shops and event spaces. Myself and a few other outdoor experts will be on hand at Best Made Co. to help you gain all the know-how you’ll need for exploring both in the city and further afield.
I’ll be leading a backpacking workshop at Best Made and will have my own pack on hand, loaded up with everything one would need for a few nights to a few months on trail. You can test your spacial skills by packing and unpacking it, try it on for size or just geek out with me on some gear talk. I’ll share my tips and answer questions about all that it takes to to prepare both mentally and physically for a successful long-distance backpacking trek. Also on view: a slideshow of images from my Appalachian Trail, John Muir Trail, Long Trail and Everest Base Camp hikes.
Other workshops happening at Best Made include navigation and map reading as well as making your own beer-can backpacking stove. Hang with us between stops at other amazing Tribeca galleries and restaurants!
Would love to see you there! Let me know if you can make it below.
