This June, head up north with Girl Gotta Hike and explore the outdoor wonders of the Adirondack Wilderness by day, while also enjoying the indoor comforts of an all-inclusive private group stay at night!

Spanning more than six-million acres, the Adirondack Park is not only the largest protected region in New York State, but in the whole lower-48! It was designated as Forever Wild Wilderness back in the late 1800’s in order to protect the region’s natural resources, thereby solidifying it as a haven for outdoor enthusiasts for generations to come.

With so many lakes, streams and mountain peaks, (including 46 peaks over 4000 feet), it can be hard to know where to begin! On this trip we’ll take time to enjoy the scenes and the serenity of the natural environment in the southern high peaks region. We’ll kick off night one with a nearby sunset hike, pay homage to Grace Hudowalski, the first woman to hike all of the Adirondack 46’ers by climbing 4,012-foot Grace Peak named for her on day two, and kick back at a secret swimming hole on day three. In between adventures we’ll have plenty of time to relax and recharge in the common spaces at our home-away-from-home private booking for the long weekend.

Where: The Southern High Peaks Region of the Adirondacks

Distance: ~15 miles over 3 days of adventures

Rating: Easy and Challenging – hikes on days 1 and 3 will be easy, short, and on well-maintained terrain. The hike on day 2 will be challenging (but rewarding) at 10+ miles, consisting of some uneven, off-trail hiking, and rocky sections that will require use of hands.

Price: $695.00 / person (installment plans available by email request)

Inclusive of: Indoor accommodation of private bed in shared room at private guest house rental; all meals from dinner on Friday through lunch on Monday, (including one celebratory dinner out at a local restaurant), shuttle transportation to/from trailheads; shuttle transportation to/from public transit in nearby Glenns Falls, NY (if needed).

Not included: Transportation to Adirondack region, alcohol, guide gratuity (10-20% appreciated, but never expected)

Extra Info: There’s nothing quite like a summer stay in the Adirondacks! Co-guide and local ADK expert, Eva Darron and I can’t wait to adventure there with you! Our accommodation for the weekend has lots of private and communal spaces to relax in, including a kitchen + dining room, movie + game room, sun room and outdoor deck. So get ready for a good time!

Participants are invited to arrive to the rental house in the ADKs between 3 and 5 PM on Friday. We will wrap the adventures around 1 PM on Sunday. Arrival and departure times have been aligned to accommodate the local Trailways bus schedule for any car-less NYC-based adventurers. Should you want to extend your time in the mountains, Sunday night accommodation is available for an additional fee.

This trip will run with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 in order to ensure the health and safety of all guides and participants. If the minimum has not been met 72 hours ahead of trip, we will reach out and refund, reschedule or make alternate arrangements. Liability Waiver must be completed ahead of hike in order to participate. All hikes are rain or shine.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 14 days or more prior to the start of your trip, you will receive a full refund, less a 10% non-refundable administration fee. If you cancel between 24 hours and 14 days ahead, you will receive a 50% refund. Anything less than 24-hours is ineligible for refund, unless trip is canceled by Girl Gotta Hike, due to dangerous conditions or any other reason.

Public Transit + Ride Sharing: Carpooling is encouraged! GGH helps connect carless NYC-hikers with their neighboring hiker-drivers to get everyone to trail. A partial Public Transit option is available for hikers coming from NYC. Travel details are provided upon signup.
