Hike Description: For the 65th Public Transit Series hike, we’re heading back to Beacon, NY, a city on the Hudson River that features a lively arts scene and easy access to some breathtaking views — but this time we’ll enjoy the sights from a slightly different perspective. We’ll be hiking along the Fishkill Ridge for just the second time in Girl Gotta Hike Public Transit Series history — the first one was way back in 2018 for PTS #4! We’ll start our day by switchbacking up and alongside a cascading stream, eventually reaching the top of Lambs Hill. From there we’ll gaze down upon downtown Beacon, across the Hudson River, and all the way over to the Shawangunk Ridge and Catskill Mountains. From there we’ll continue our trek by looping east around the Fishkill Ridge, enjoying hilltop views of the Hudson Highlands, before heading back downhill along the waterfall. Post-hike we can celebrate the day in Beacon with some tasty treats and/or brews of choice before returning to Grand Central.
Each trip will run with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 in order to ensure the health and safety of all guides and participants. If the minimum has not been met 24 hours ahead of trip, we will reach out and refund, reschedule or make alternate arrangements. Liability Waiver must be completed ahead of hike in order to participate.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 14 days or more prior to the start of your trip, you will receive a full refund, less a 10% non-refundable administration fee. If you cancel between 24 hours and 14 days ahead, you will receive a 50% refund. Anything less than 24-hours is ineligible for refund, unless trip is canceled by Girl Gotta Hike, due to dangerous conditions or any other reason.
While most Girl Gotta Hike events are there for those who identify as female, this special event is open to all! Can’t make it this time? No worries, Custom Adventures are always open to everyone.
